ROLLERBALL TIP SOLD OUT
"Aluminium or aluminum is a chemical element with symbol Al and atomic number 13. It is a silvery-white, soft, nonmagnetic and ductile metal in the boron group. By mass, aluminium makes up about 8% of the Earth's crust; it is the third most abundant element after oxygen and silicon and the most abundant metal in the crust, though it is less common in the mantle below." - Wikipedia
Our latest Decograph Al 13 release is an EDC favorite, matte olive drab and matte black. The parts have been rough tumbled for the better part of a day to give the material a nice texture, before a matte anodize finish has been applied. The cap and barrel have been anodized in a stunning matte olive green, and we've paired them with our fully milled one-piece clip in matte black and finial in matte black. This is the first time we've done this particular colorway and we're excited to get them in your hands. The Al 13 features our single piece, fully milled clip, and faux bottom finial. The OD Green Decograph ships in an olive Rickshaw pen sleeve in lieu of our pen capsule. This EDC fountain pen is fully machined in our facility, while the nibs and converter are sourced in Germany, and the ink cartridges are made in Austria. For this release we are offering a small batch of matte black rollerball grip section add-ons. For an additional $15 you can elect to add a thread-in rollerball tip that takes the place of the Bock fountain pen. It will also include a Pilot G2 refill and G2 spring, enabling you to use your Ultra Black Decograph as either a fountain pen or a rollerball. Quantities are limited on the rollerball tips, and they are ONLY available with the purchase of a pen at this time.
Each pen ships in a single pen sleeve made by Rickshaw Bagworks, with a polished steel nib in sizes EF–B, 1.1mm stub, or 1.5mm stub, a standard international converter, and five black standard international cartridges. Two-tone, black lacquer, titanium, and 14K gold nib upgrades are available for an additional charge when selecting your nib. The Black Lacquer nibs require some set up by the customer. Specifically they need the lacquer stripped from the tipping, which can be easily accomplished by "dry-writing" on a paper bag or copier paper. They should be cleaned before use, thoroughly. Even so, due to the lacquer finish they write considerably drier than non-treated nibs. Keep this in mind when purchasing.
100 Pens Available
The #6 nibs units are manufactured by Peter Bock in Germany. Also included with each pen is a Schmidt K5 cartridge converter and 5 black Monteverde ink cartridges. This edition is designed, machined, and assembled in the USA from US and imported material.
