Camp Karas Series Special ReleaseFor the fifth Camp Karas release, we’ve decided to look to one of the kings of the Arizona forests the black bear. The black bear is the only bear still found in Arizona, and while not nearly as ferocious looking as some of its larger cousins, it’s still a frightening sight if you come face to face with one in the wild. I’ve never understood why it’s called the black bear since most of the ones I’ve seen had fur that was some shade of brown. Thankfully my campsite has been rummaged by these noble beasts, and I’ve seen them off in the distance when out hunting, but I’ve never had a direct run in with one. They range through the Arizona high country in the coniferous forests and up to the Grand Canyon. Sometimes you will run in to them in the northern cities of Payson or Flagstaff but more often than not they stay out in the wild.
The "Bear-izona" Fluted EDK is a rough tumbled EDK that has then had a matte brown anodize applied to it. We've laser marked the clip with our Camp Karas logo in a subtle soft white mark. The laser marked badge is a shield design with a large standing bear on it. The pen ships with a Schmidt Megaline pressurized refill, which provides a steady flow of ink that can be used in almost any situation rain or shine on the high seas or at the top of Everest. Each pen will also ship with a custom Camp Karas sticker urging you to “Unleash Your Beast” .
