Camp Karas Series Special ReleaseOur third release in the Camp Karas Series of pens is the “Forest Restoration” GroovED EDK. One thing we see a lot of in Arizona is wildfires. At the halfway point in 2019 over 120,000 acres have burned from one forest fire alone, and we have the rest of the summer ahead of us. Forest conservation and restoration is one way humans can proactively fight wildfires. Arizona has several forest restoration projects that aim to ensure the national forests are maintained and allowed to grow while remaining as safe from wildfire as possible. We think efforts like this are vital to our continued enjoyment of nature and the outdoor wilderness right outside our doors. .
The "Forest Restoration" GroovED EDK is our hard tumbled aluminum EDK that we've then sent out for custom light green anodize we’ve never used before, and there is a slight transparency allowing the material to come through just a bit. We've laser marked the clip with our Camp Karas logo in a subtle soft white mark. The laser marked badge is in the form of a shield with crossed axes, key components in forest conservation, restoration, and firefighting. The pen ships with a Schmidt Megaline 950 pressurized refill that can write on just about anything, even wet paper, that way you can keep track of the fish you catch, sketch the riverside, or write the next great outdoors novel all while on location. Each pen will also ship with a Camp Karas sticker featuring a “hidden” sasquatch and the Go Outside, Write On prompt we’re using as the unofficial motto of the Camp Karas series.
