End-of-the-Year Cerakote Render K Limited Release Batch #1
- Description
Description
We are working through the K Series pens, releasing them here and there and in the process testing new colors of Cerakote or returning to fan favorite colors. The idea is to give the K Series one last hurrah, as it were. Amazing colors some that you might never see again, on our original pen, the one that started this crazy journey. We have two final batches of Cerakote Render K pens in the works, and these are the colors we’re featuring in Batch #1 – The Finale: Monster Green, Blood Orange, Ancient Copper, Ice Blue, and Pink Sherbet. Ice Blue and Monster Green have been featured on our pens in the past, and Pink Sherbet was a test color that we had hoped to use for our pink pens, that never really worked out. These are limited releases with less than 20 pens in each color.
End-of-the-Year Batch #1 features five different Cerakote Render K pens paired with black anodized grips and clips, utilizing black fasteners. These colors have been specifically sourced for this first batch because we haven’t featured the Render K in this color in a long time, if at all. Pricing ranges on these from $60-70 as a few of these colors are more time-consuming for our Cerakote applicator to use and require more coats. The Pink Sherbet, Ice Blue, and Ice Blue feature a similar texture and color that is about halfway between satin and gloss and provides just a bit of shine from light reflection but also have a nice “tacky” feel that provides extra grip without feeling sticky. The Ancient Copper and Blood Orange feature the newest ultra-fine metallic that sprays on in a satin finish, providing a shimmery but not shiny finish. The Ancient Copper requires two extra coat and the Blood Orange required four extra coats. Finally, the Monster Green is one of our most popular colors, featuring blacklight change that makes the green really pop, it also requires two extra coats. Thesse are priced at our clearance pricing with adjustments only for the Cerakote application cost. Ship with a black Pilot G2 refill.
*Cerakote is a temperature-cured, spray-on ceramic coating that is used in a variety of industries including automotive, defense, outdoors, and sports. While Cerakote has been tested and rated at the highest levels of hardness, corrosion resistance, flexibility, and heat; it is not nearly as durable as anodize. Like all coatings, Cerakote can and will naturally wear when carried against objects of a similar or greater hardness than the Cerakote. Cerakote can chip or crack if dropped onto hard surfaces. Be advised this surface finish will wear over time, and is not as resistant to wear or damage as our standard anodize.
