Flat Dark Earth Render K Limited Release

We are working through the K Series pens, releasing them here and there and in the process testing new colors of Cerakote or returning to fan favorite colors. The idea is to give the K Series one last hurrah, as it were. Amazing colors some that you might never see again, on our original pen, the one that started this crazy journey.

You asked, and we heard your uplifted voices. The Flat Dark Earth Render K is finally here. For those of you that aren’t “in the know”, Flat Dark Earth, affectionately known as FDE, is one of those EDC colors that we get a lot of requests for. People who are EDC gearheads love their FDE accessories, and we’re finally catching up. While we’ve had other tan colors in Cerakote in the past, our Cerakote applicator used E-200 (Elite series Flat Dark Earth) for these pens. This color is a medium brown earth tone with a true matte finish, according to Cerakote. We’ve chosen matte black grips and our special milled clips in matching matte black for this release. Ships with a black Pilot G2 refill.

*Cerakote is a temperature-cured, spray-on ceramic coating that is used in a variety of industries including automotive, defense, outdoors, and sports. While Cerakote has been tested and rated at the highest levels of hardness, corrosion resistance, flexibility, and heat; it is not nearly as durable as anodize. Like all coatings, Cerakote can and will naturally wear when carried against objects of a similar or greater hardness than the Cerakote. Cerakote can chip or crack if dropped onto hard surfaces. Be advised this surface finish will wear over time, and is not as resistant to wear or damage as our standard anodize.

The K Series is made from 6061-T aluminum on our CNC Swiss lathes, CNC machining centers, and CNC mills in Mesa, Arizona. Pilot G2 refills are made in Japan.
