Modal Rollerball Pen
For years, we've been asked to add a large-profile side-bolt to our Bolt rollerball pen for people who don't want to use the knob to actuate the refill. We decided to keep the Bolt design as-is and design our own traditional side-bolt action pen. We wanted to allow for the existence of both the Bolt and the new pen while acknowledging the obvious similarities. Implementation of a deep pocket clip design with a purpose-built side-button rather than a giant bolt or screw, gives the Modal a unique look and feel. The J-slot modification to a more of a checkmark combined with our use of Delrin for the slider, makes the action on the Modal super quick and silky-smooth. While we've used the lower body from the Bolt for the Modal, the new design pieces provide adequate separation between the two products allowing the Modal to be our everyday carry brand-ambassador. Carry the Modal with the confidence it will work when needed, won't accidentally engage the refill while in your pocket or purse, and be a conversation starter if seen by someone in public.

The Modal saw the debut of our milled honeycomb grip profile aptly named, Hive, in a variety of materials with the copper version becoming a massive hit.

Specially curated Pink Glow Cerakote professionally applied on the Dragonskin Modal was an amazing addition to our Limited Release Modal series.

Type III Anodize
Used for it's superior impact resistance, Type III hardcoat anodize isn't over the top in terms of color, but it makes up for it in durability, like this Natural (grey) Dragonskin Modal with Olive anodized hardware.
