2025 Cerakote Render K Limited Releases #1

We are working through the K Series pens, releasing them here and there and in the process testing new colors of Cerakote or returning to fan favorite colors. The idea is to give the K Series one last hurrah, as it were. Amazing colors some that you might never see again, on our original pen, the one that started this crazy journey.

An oldie but a goodie has returned. Quite some time ago, we released extremely limited quantities of Retrakt pens and Retraktable pencils in two Cerakote colors: Crushed Orchid (H-314) and Tequila Sunrise (H-309). The idea was to eventually do a run of pens with Phoenix Suns colors, but that idea never came about. As we slowly make our way through the more interesting Cerakote colors, we’ve come back to these two.

The Tequila Sunrise Render K features an expertly applied coating of this color. Tequila Sunrise is described as “a fiery orange accented with lighter orange metallics that dance in the light”. This is another amazing orange color that is technically a flat finish with slight metallics to allow for some shine in certain lighting.

The Crushed Orchid Render K features an expertly applied coating of this color. Crushed Orchid is described as “a cool shade of lavender with faint yet abundant silver metallics that provide an attractive shine”. A fitting description for this matte finish that has some shine especially in certain lighting conditions.

We’ve chosen matte black grips and clips for this release. Ships with a black Pilot G2 refill.

*Cerakote is a temperature-cured, spray-on ceramic coating that is used in a variety of industries including automotive, defense, outdoors, and sports. While Cerakote has been tested and rated at the highest levels of hardness, corrosion resistance, flexibility, and heat; it is not nearly as durable as anodize. Like all coatings, Cerakote can and will naturally wear when carried against objects of a similar or greater hardness than the Cerakote. Cerakote can chip or crack if dropped onto hard surfaces. Be advised this surface finish will wear over time, and is not as resistant to wear or damage as our standard anodize.

The K Series is made from 6061-T aluminum on our CNC Swiss lathes, CNC machining centers, and CNC mills in Mesa, Arizona. Pilot G2 refills are made in Japan.
