New Special Release
The Vertex is the second release in our Signature Series which is built around using plastics and other resins as the main parts of the pen. From the beginning, we wanted to create something that looked, felt and functioned differently than other pens on the market. We wanted a smooth transition from grip to barrel, so we moved the traditional breakpoint from the section back, and used a third o-ring in the cap adapted slip cap functionality for the pen. The longer grip section allows for the use of an “ink window” with transparent materials which adds a little flair to the pen. The Vertex looks and feels streamlined and aerodynamic. With soft tapers, a cigar-shaped body, and a concave cap top; the Vertex is at once futuristic but also reminiscent of the classic lines of Parker and Sheaffer pens. After a few years of perfecting the Vertex, we’re now expanding into non-resin materials with the launch of the aluminum Vertex pens.
The first Cerakote* Vertex Special Release is here with a THICC coat of Hunter Orange goodness to meet your need for orange pens. This is yet another throwback to our OLD Black Friday release we lovingly called Orange is the New Black. We’re returning to that colorway for this release which features our Vertex fountain pen, gently massaged in our tumblers, then lovingly sprayed with uniform coats of Hunter Orange Cerakote. We’re suggesting you pair that with a black anodized grip section, though you can also choose from all of our available grip section offerings in durable Makrolon or machined, anodized aluminum. The Hunter Orange Cerakote and black anodized aluminum look stellar together, it’s a match made in heaven. Don’t take our word for it, check out those pics! Customize it further with your choice of rollerball tips in black, silver, brass, or copper; the brass is a great combination with the brass anodize. Comes standard with a Pilot G2 refill with black ink. G2 refills are manufactured in Japan. Each pen is designed and machined, by us, in the USA.
*Cerakote is a temperature-cured, spray-on ceramic coating that is used in a variety of industries including automotive, defense, outdoors, and sports. While Cerakote has been tested and rated at the highest levels of hardness, corrosion resistance, flexibility, and heat; it is not nearly as durable as anodize. Like all coatings, Cerakote can and will naturally wear when carried against objects of a similar or greater hardness than the Cerakote. Cerakote can chip or crack if dropped onto hard surfaces. Be advised this surface finish will wear over time, and is not as resistant to wear or damage as our standard anodize.
