Shipwreck Copper Experimental EDK Limited Release

Description

The first batch of Shipwreck rollerball pens of 2025 are officially here. We’re happy to announce a new batch of these patinated copper works of art. The standard Copper Experimental EDK has only been featured once with the Knox treatment, and this is the second official release of the Shipwreck Experimental EDK pens. These Copper Experimental EDK pens have been put through a special electro-chemical process that causes an etching on the surface of the copper and promotes a quick-acting blue-tinted patina. This is a personal favorite of ours because the etching softens the edges of the flutes, while the patina makes for an almost “soft” texture to grip on. This finish is often referred to as the “shipwreck” finish, and that’s what we’re naming this edition. We have chosen the standard stainless steel clip, screws, and click mechanism for this release as the blue patina shows better with stainless hardware. Ships with a black Schmidt P8126 refill.

Each pen is unique in the amount and distribution of the etching and patina. Pens will be randomly chosen when purchased and sent. Please do not request specific pens or “looks”.

Our pens are designed, manufactured, and assembled in Mesa, Arizona. The EDK V2 uses material and components sourced primarily from the United States, but also from Germany.
