Fountain Pen Day Special Release

Contrary to popular belief, some color combinations aren’t suited for use on a pen. There are a LOT of different camo pattern acrylics on the market, largely due to the fact that acrylics can be used for duck calls; but that doesn’t mean they fit the pen aesthetics. Sometimes it’s the shape of the pen that doesn’t lend itself to the use of camo patter, sometimes its the way the different colors get muddied up and look messy, and other times the finished product just looks bland. We went out on a limb on two camo patterns from Erinoid, Leaf Camo is the first and is a more traditional pattern you’d see on military uniforms and hunters gear but mostly of the decades past. It is VERY similar to the U.S. Woodland camouflage pattern used by the US Armed Forces from 1981-2005 on the Battle Dress Uniform. But this acrylic polishes nicely even though the colors are opaque, the finished product has a light shine to it that isn’t sparkly or bright and simply highlights the shifts in brown, black, green, and tan. The final product even surprised us because the Vertex looks incredible in Leaf Camo.

The Leaf Camo Vertex Finale is one of two Vertex releases chosen specifically for Fountain Pen Day 2025. Both feature Erinoid acrylics sourced from Turner’s Workshop in the UK. Both are being released in limited quantities and with a 25% direct price markdown. The Leaf Camo Vertex Special Release will be available with all of our transparent Makrolon grips and anodized aluminum grips, as well as our full complement of polished steel nibs. Special Pricing available through November 15, 2025 or while supplies last, some coupon codes excluded.
