Pocket Modal Special Release

Sometimes it takes three or four tries to get things done correctly. That’s the tale of the Matte Olive Green Pocket Modal. We sent the initial batch of Pocket Modals to the anodizer for matte olive green all the way back in February. Unfortunately, those received standard matte green anodize. Our next two replacement batches we sent out ended up needing rework or not having all the parts sent in the same batch so the anodize didn’t match at all. We can finally announce the launch of the Matte Olive Green Pocket Modal, the pens are here, they look incredible, we’re excited to feature this pen.

The Matte Olive Green Pocket Modal follows in the footsteps of the Matte Olive Green EDK which was the first official color we added to the EDK about a year after we launched the EDK. The plan for the EDK was always to only feature tumbled and matte anodize looks as the primary color schemes, and only have Tumbled Aluminum and Matte Black as our two main aluminum options. We’d rotate other colors, and we eventually added Matte Olive Green as a semi-standard color option, though we’ve since relegated that color to once or twice a year in very small production runs. The Matte Olive Green Modal will have a similar story, we’ll release this once or twice a year with some variance of hardware options, but it will be a Special Release and not a standard release option. For our first version, we’ve gone with the matte black hardware option and black Delrin slider. Select from a variety of refills when configuring your pen.
