The Dragonskin grip is an experimental live milling technique added to the machining process first introduced on the EDK, and we’re super excited to add it to our Bolt V2. We started with the standard grooved grip profile, but then add overlaying cuts that are reminiscent of dragon scales, hence the Dragonskin moniker. The look is both menacing and intriguing and makes the pen look completely different than our standard grip options. They’re not sharp at all but provide a great tactile grip on the lower barrel and are quite comfortable for long writing sessions.
Meteor Grey is a direct nod to the current hotness in automotive paint. That flat, opaque grey that you’ll see in slightly different shades from all of the manufacturers. We love how clean it looks but also how it kind of makes you want to reach out and touch it cause it might have a different texture to it. The Meteor Grey Dragonskin Bolt V2 features a flat, opaque Cerakote that looks quite like automotive paint. It also has a little texture to it, so when you grip the pen it grips back. This pen is finished with matte black hardware and ships with a black Pilot G2 refill.

The Bolt V2 is made from 6061-T aluminum on our CNC lathes and Swiss machining centers, in Mesa, Arizona. Pilot refills are manufactured in Japan.
*6061 aluminum clips are not as stiff as our stainless steel clips. They have more spring to them and can snap or bend if caught and pulled hard on something. They are more than adequate and stronger than many clips used on metal pens made out of lighter material. The anodize will wear over time, but it is more robust than the black nitride we use on our standard black clips.
