Limited Release
Our incredible Cerakote applicator has put his experiment hat on and worked some magic on some Vertex fountain pens and the finished product looks incredible. The Mother of Pearl finish was initially an experiment he did with a light coat of FX series metallic over a white base coat, using primarily FX Mardi Gras which features purple-to-green color shift metallic. For this new experiment, he added additional metallic into the final coat and sprayed it heavier, creating the appearance of a slight darkening of the base white which now looks light slightly aged ivory. The color shift from purple through pink to green is still present and in certain light, all of the metallic is stripped away leaving a bright white pen. This is one of the most dynamic looking finishes to date, and it looks incredible on the Vertex.
The Mother of Pearl (Ivory) Vertex Fountain Pen Limited Release is our pocket-ready, snap-cap fountain pen perfect for everyday carry featuring one of the most experimental Cerakote finishes, heavy FX metallic over white. The stunning results of additional metallic FX-117 Mardi Gras mixed into the final clearcoat application laid heavily over the base white Cerakote, provides a unique finish that is unlike any other Cerakote or even non-metal fountain pen on the market. The color-shift on this pen is ramped up to 11; it’s beautiful. Select from any of our available grip sections in anodized aluminum or Makrolon, the Mint and Pink look particularly good with the Cerakote.
