New Color and Treatment

Our Cerakote applicator has been hard at work once again, this time working some magic in mysterious ways. Using Cerakote’s FX series of color-shifting metallic secondary coating, he’s created what we’re calling Mother of Pearl. Mother of Pearl features a white base coat with FX Mardi Gras (metallic purple-to-green) as a secondary coating which is then sealed in a clear coat. The effect is a shimmery, pink-purple-green overlay on the white base that wonderfully mimics the Mother of Pearl look.

The Mother of Pearl Render K is another of our clearance-priced Render K pens as we sell through remaining stock of raw Render K bodies. Utilizing a uniform coat of Stormtrooper White (H-297) as the base, he’s then added a secondary coat of Mardi Gras (FX-117) described as “bold color-shifting finish that captures the true spirit of Mardi Gras with a vibrant purple and green metallic flop that dances in the light”. Over a dark green, purple, or black Mardi Gras shifts from a gold-tinged green to a sparkly purple. However, over a base of white, the green is muted to a teal-tinged hue and the purple fades to pink, the effect is decidedly Mother of Pearl. We’re pairing these with standard stainless steel hardware and allowing the Mother of Pearl to shine and lightly tumbled raw aluminum grips. Ships with a black Schmidt Pilot G2 refill in our standard recyclable packaging.
