Halloween Limited Release
The latest Fluted Modal is here with a brand new color and it’s part of our Spooky Season releases. We partnered with Aaron at Area 15 Cerakote once again and asked him to use his magic to make this distressed finish really impressive, and he knocked it out of the park. The base coat is a strange purple Cerakote called Bright Purple, but is actually a nice dusty, flat purple that feels great. Over the top he’s put intermittent coats of Armor Black, and partially cured the black. Once that’s done, he spends a good ten minutes with different abrasives and a solvent to distress the black giving it this amazing look. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product.
The Paranormal Purple Fluted Modal Limited Release is our latest standard length Modal release featuring one of our original grip profiles, milled flutes. It features a uniform coat of the Bright Purple Cerakote which is then oversprayed with Armor Black and finally the black is hand-worn away giving it this unique look. We’ve done similar finishes before for Halloween, but this is the first time that Aaron has been the applicator working with these pens and he does some incredible work on them. No two pens are alike, the distressing wears differently on each pen and looks truly unique though somewhat similar. For this release we’ve selected the standard black anodized clip and button with a black Delrin slider. The pen ships with a black Pilot G2 refill.
