Now that we have a fresh batch of K Series pens, we’ve sent them out for some of the more popular Cerakote colors that made it onto our other pens last year. Two such colors were the Robin’s Egg Blue and Bubblegum Pink, and those are the first two we’ve chosen for this batch of K Series pens.
The Robin’s Egg Blue Render K V2 features this special Cerakote application on the cap and body of our K Series fountain pen. The pens were tumbled and then sent out for a clear anodize application. Then our Cerakote applicator layered on uniform coats of this classic blue that’s been a favorite of pen people for quite some time. While the color is gloss, it doesn’t have a sparkle or transparency and looks incredible on these pens. We’ve elected to pair these pens with a silver grip section and our stainless steel clip and screws. Select from either the most popular gel rollerball Pilot G2 option or the classic ballpoint Parker style option.
*Cerakote is a temperature-cured, spray-on ceramic coating that is used in a variety of industries including automotive, defense, outdoors, and sports. While Cerakote has been tested and rated at the highest levels of hardness, corrosion resistance, flexibility, and heat; it is not nearly as durable as anodize. Like all coatings, Cerakote can and will naturally wear when carried against objects of a similar or greater hardness than the Cerakote. Cerakote can chip or crack if dropped onto hard surfaces. Be advised this surface finish will wear over time, and is not as resistant to wear or damage as our standard anodize.
The Render K V2 is made from 6061-T aluminum on our CNC lathes and Swiss machining centers, in Mesa, Arizona. Schmidt items manufactured in Germany. Pilot G2 refills manufactured in Japan.
