Josh’s latest experiment on machined grip section textures comes in overlapping scales, or that’s what it looks like to us. This “scale armor” style look was done on a slightly larger batch than most of his experimental grip profiles, and will be around for multiple releases, many of them with Cerakote colors. For the second release we wanted to expand to the Modal and Cerakote at the same time, and in the process we chose a brand new Cerakote series and color, Shamrock (F-120).

The Shamrock Scale Modal is our Modal rollerball pen with the latest experimental machining pattern, “scale”, on the grip. It has had a coat of Shamrock (F-120) Cerakote professionally applied by our Cerakote applicator. Shamrock Cerakote is described as “a saturated Kelly green solid tone with a flat finish.”. F Series Cerakote is a brand new product specifically engineered for high volume production due to the low curing temperature requirements and faster cure times. F Series also applies in a more uniform fashion and generally have a much more opaque finish that vary from true matte to flat to semi-gloss; but not gloss or metallic. This color is completely different than any Cerakote green shades we’ve seen before or from any anodize. The Kelly green is fantastic, with a nice flat finish that doesn’t reflect light at all. The matte black anodize clips and buttons look equally as good contrasted against the flat Shamrock Cerakote. We think this color will be a big hit.  Includes a black Pilot G2 rollerball refill.
