Procured from the UK, Erinoid Sunflare acrylic is a truly incredible material. Heavily swirled in opaque black, orange, and blue with patches of chatoyant gold, this material machined, sanded, and polished unlike most acrylics we’ve worked with in the past. The polishing process was especially notable because it shines easily and to a luster normally reserved for “softer” materials like Alumalite or Cellulose Acetate. Regardless, the finished product is stunning, so much so we wished we had ordered double the amount since it is now out of stock.

The Sunflare Vertex Limited Release is one of two Vertex releases chosen specifically for Fountain Pen Day 2025. Both feature Erinoid acrylics sourced from Turner’s Workshop in the UK. Both are being released in limited quantities and with a 25% direct price markdown. The Sunflare Vertex Limited Release will be available with all of our transparent Makrolon grips and anodized aluminum grips, as well as our full complement of polished steel nibs.
