Not all pens are planned, some of them happen when customers just keep asking for them. The production Al 13 Decograph pens are just that. When we created the Decograph pen, we designed it based around resins and other non-metals. But as time passed we got more and more requests for an aluminum version of the Decograph. Having released several aluminum special editions, we finally admitted that we needed to add a production aluminum version of this pen.
The Tumbled Al 13 Decograph is now a yearly Nov/Dec release. We take a fresh batch of Al 13 Decographs, heavy tumbled them, and add them to the website. Normally this batch is about 60 pens, this year we have fewer than planned, and will be releasing only 50. This product is available through December 31st, 2021 or while supplies last.

Each pen comes standard with a polished steel Bock nib with our Karas branding on most sizes. Titanium and 14K gold upgrades available as stock levels dictate. Includes a Schmidt K5 converter and two Monteverde black cartridges. Ships in our standard, recyclable cardboard box with corresponding instructions.
Our pens are designed, manufactured, and assembled in Mesa, Arizona. The Al 13 Decograph uses material, components, and accessories sourced from the United States, Germany, and Austria.
