Now that it's official and the United States Space Force is an "actual" thing, it's high time we start poking a little fun at them. We're not sure releasing a pen with them in mind is actually poking fun at them, but we do joke about them at the office a lot, especially Paul. That being said, since our Reaktor pens are all space themed, it only made sense for us to throw together a Space Force version, seeing as how the Space Force has been kind thrown together. This Galaxie XL was hard tumbled, then matte olive anodized to match the Space Force multi-cam uniforms. How green multi-cam will help you in space, we haven't figured it out yet, but this pen might blend in with your uniform. We've used a tumbled brass grip section for a little added weight and comfort. Then we outfitted the pen with the Pilot G2 refill, you can swap it out with others, but if the Space Force is like any of the other branches they'll probably mandate you use black ink so it might as well be a G2 refill.
Much like our previous Reaktor special releases, this release of pens have been heavy tumbled over 6 hours before being anodized. This heavy tumbling leaves surface variances in both the aluminum and in the anodize. There may be some divots or "chunks" missing from the material and the heavy tumbling can cause the anodize to have swirl marks and "grain" show through. This is normal for these pens since they've been tumbled so aggressively.
