Black Cherry Render K Limited Release
- Description
Description
We are working through the K Series pens, releasing them here and there and in the process testing new colors of Cerakote or returning to fan favorite colors. The idea is to give the K Series on last hurrah, as it were. Amazing colors some that you might never see again, on our original pen, the one that started this crazy journey. The latest batch of Cerakote pens have returned from the applicator and boy are there some amazing colors. If you’re a car enthusiast or someone who loves new and unique colors, this one should be right up your alley. Our applicator has tested a new coating, Black Cherry (C-298) on these pens and holy cow, they’re amazing. A gorgeous, satin purple color that doesn’t resemble any other color we’ve encountered on a metal pen. Regal, luscious; I’m not sure what other descriptors to use, but this color is AMAZING.
The Black Cherry Render K Limited Edition is a limited release Render K with Black Cherry (C-298) professionally applied to these pens. A new process was applied during the curing process which resulted in a more uniform finish and really enhances the satin finish on this pen, limiting the reflection and shine some Cerakote finishes have. These turned out beautiful with a nice grippy surface that is smooth, but tactile to the touch. We’re pairing them with polished copper grip sections to contrast the turquoise and reference two items that were, and still are, mined in Arizona. Ships with a black Pilot G2 refill.
*Cerakote is a temperature-cured, spray-on ceramic coating that is used in a variety of industries including automotive, defense, outdoors, and sports. While Cerakote has been tested and rated at the highest levels of hardness, corrosion resistance, flexibility, and heat; it is not nearly as durable as anodize. Like all coatings, Cerakote can and will naturally wear when carried against objects of a similar or greater hardness than the Cerakote. Cerakote can chip or crack if dropped onto hard surfaces. Be advised this surface finish will wear over time, and is not as resistant to wear or damage as our standard anodize.
