Fountain Pen Day 2024 Limited Release, $25 OFF
We’ve chosen Fountain Pen Day 2024 to feature the final set of pens poured by our former resin superstar, Zoe. We wanted to showcase the full beauty of these pens with polycarbonate transparent grip sections, and now that those are back in stock, it’s the perfect opportunity to showcase this Limited Release. This was a pet project of Zoe as she was learning how to blend and mix colors. She wanted to create a pen that mimicked the crayon but in a “modern art” swirl style. The idea was to mix very fine silver mica in the black and the highlighted color, and then blend the two together. The resulting pen has the elements of the crayon with the black letters and border on the paper label. We ended up with 10 colors, each color has between 8 and 13 pens available. We’re also offering these at the Fountain Pen Day special price of $75.
The Krayon Vertex Limited Release is our Fountain Pen Day special. It features high-polished, in-house poured resin Vertexes in 10 unique colors. These have been hand-sanded and polished by Tommy this past week to bring out the shine of the material. There are 10 colors available: Blue, Blue-Violet, Brown, Carnation-Pink, Green, Orange, Red, Violet, White, and Yellow. This is the first time we’ve been able to feature Yellow as the main color on our pens in this format, and it looks great. In the past we’ve had some elements of yellow, but not like this. We have a selection of transparent grip sections, including new Orange and Pink options that look great, but my personal favorite is the Coke Bottle Green. These ship in our recyclable packaging with a custom sticker as the branding on the box. Select from a variety of polished steel nibs, and comes with a K5 converter and two black cartridges.
The Vertex is our second release in our Signature Series which is built around using plastics and other resins as the main parts of the pen. From the beginning, we wanted to create something that looked, felt, and functioned differently than other pens on the market. The Vertex’s basic design is that of a classic eyedropper pocket fountain pen. It functions with only four parts: a cap, barrel, grip, and nib. Simply add ink to the reservoir, and you can happily write pages of notes before you need to refill. Eyedropper pens can be tricky and messy, and we wanted to eliminate some of those concerns. During the engineering phase, we implemented designs of custom-fit o-rings to eliminate the need for silicone grease to seal the grip and nib areas. We wanted a smooth transition from grip to barrel, so we moved traditional breakpoint from the section back, and using a third o-ring in the cap adapted slip cap functionality for the pen. The longer grip section allows for the use of an “ink window” with transparent materials which adds a little flair to the pen. The Vertex looks and feels streamlined and aerodynamic with soft tapers, a cigar-shaped body, and a concave cap top; the Vertex is at once futuristic and reminiscent of the classic lines of Parker and Sheaffer pens. The Vertex is the latest step in our Design.History.Technology influenced Signature Series.
Comes standard with a Bock polished steel nib, with upgrades in titanium and 14k gold when in stock. The #6 nibs units are manufactured by Peter Bock in Germany. Also included with each pen is a 2 ml soft pipette and 2 black Monteverde ink cartridges. Each pen is designed and machined, by us, in the USA.
