New Pocket Pen

The RKiV field pen takes the best aspects of the EDK and Retrakt combining them into a pen that looks fresh and is as durable as anything else we've released to date. That's not all, the RKiV is built around the only made in USA ballpoint refill, designed to write anyhwere, the Fisher Space Pen® refill. We've sourced black PR4 refills from Fisher for the default refill for this pen release.

The Urban Dusk RKiV field pen is our second standard release for the RKiV field pen. While this version may go out of stock from time to time, we'll release batches of it whenever necessary, with the idea that this colorway is a standard offering. Urban Dusk draws inspiration from the urban landscape at dusk, not full darkness that would be a stealth, all-black pen; but the in-between time of shadows, concrete, and the coming darkness. We've offered grey and black pens in the past as special release versions, even with similar matte cool-grey anodize, but not as a standard release until now. The RKiV field pen is the perfect canvas for this colorway, and everyday carry pen that's sleek and subtle made to be carried in any environment. The micro-ring texture is just visible and adds a touch of texture when gripping the pen. The matte black hardware with black chrome mechanism pulls the whole thing together. 

The RKiV field pen is another step forward in our journey to make pens that are made to go anywhere and write everywhere. The RKiV is a small-format, click-style pen similar to the EDK but with a new look and design that allows us to shorten the manufacturing time, reduce product lost due to anodize issues, and is based around a ballpoint refill we've never featured before. The vision for this pen was to create something that wasn't a direct riff on one of our existing pens. The EDK used a combination of the Retrakt upper body and a shortened Bolt grip. The Modal uses a Bolt grip and the Pocket Modal uses an EDK grip. For the RKiV we took smaller elements (tip taper, micro-rings, etc) and built from that aspect for a single-piece pen designed to use a standard oil-based ballpoint refill. Our internal tests have proven the RKiV is a beast of a pen in a pint-sized package, and with the Fisher Space Pen® refill, it WILL write in any condition.
