We pride ourselves on improving and adapting our products to ensure they are functioning as they should. The Render K was our first foray into pen manufacturing in 2011, and through the years we’ve made improvements to the Render K to increase its functionality and comfort. Our latest improvement comes in the form of what we are calling a new Sta-Fast cap. Via user feedback, we realized that in certain carry circumstances the cap would come unscrewed, particularly in tight-fitting pants. The Sta-Fast cap provides a firm closure as the cap is fully seated, causing an internal cap o-ring to seat firmly against a machined flat just past the grip section. The Sta-Fast cap has been carry-tested by our staff and testers for an extended period of time and has passed all of our tests with flying colors.
From time to time, we get larger batches of pens that were intended to be special release or standard stock, but the anodize is just slightly off on them. We can’t sell them as A Stock or even B Stock, so we put them through our heavy tumbled process for 4-6 hours to apply the Battleworn look. Once they’re done, we clean and assemble them and match the caps and bodies as best we can and sell them on The Bottom Shelf for a hefty discount. We’ve pre-configured these with tumbled brass grip sections and Pilot G2 refills. They’re $40 dollars off while supplies last, and excluded from coupon codes.
